Ruth Colquitt

Senior Community Engagement

Ruth was born in Cuba. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She holds certificates in several areas of training such as Biblical, Customer Service, Supervisory Development, Continuous Learning, and Child Abuse Awareness. She is currently a member of the Georgia Gwinnett College Psychology Club and the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. She has 11 years of experience in the Utility Service System, 15 years in the Public and Private Education System, 9 years in the Court System, and 3 years in the non-profit sector.

What she likes about working with Ser Familia is the daily opportunity to serve families, as she searches for programs and resources that would assist them in having a better life. She is one of the few individuals that are privileged to give a family something so basic as a bag of food and witness the glimmer of hope re-enter their eyes because they see that someone cares.
