Mr. Urbina was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He studied Business Administration, majoring in Management at the University of Puerto Rico. He moved to Georgia in 1999. In 2001, along with his wife Belisa, he co-founded Ser Familia, Inc. which is the leading program in Georgia providing coordinated multi-disciplinary family, social and mental health services to Latinos. His energy, hard work, and love for this organization have fueled it and allowed it to grow and expand, benefiting more than 6,000 Latinos every year. He is a certified instructor in 14 different evidence-based socio-emotional development, prevention, and family education programs.

Mr. Urbina was a successful entrepreneur and business owner for more than 30 years and currently works as Ser Familia’s Deputy Director and Director of Franchise Operations.

He was recognized along with his wife Belisa by the Atlanta Braves as the 2018 Braves Country Community Hero and inducted along with her, to Georgia Latino’s Hall of Fame in 2021.

Mr. Urbina has been married for over 35 years, has 5 adult children and 9 grandchildren.
