C.A.F.E.

The ultimate goal of the project is to reduce the number of Latino families who are referred to DFCS by providing them with the emotional and concrete support they need. These supports act as protective factors for families and prevent potential child abuse and neglect which might happen when parents can't meet the needs of their children and their own needs. At the moment we have three locations, Lawrenceville, Norcross, and College Park.

We offer emergency financial assistance, food access, Medicaid and SNAP applications assistance, educational programs as well as family services such as parenting classes, youth programs, and services for domestic violence victims. We also have a day program for Latino Senior Citizens, we provide tutoring programs for middle school students, we provide tutoring programs for high school students. The programs are designed to assist students with their homework and the learning process of difficult concepts in language and math. The curriculum is one-of-a-kind and it is culturally and linguistically adapted to Latino students.
